The Russian space capsule Foton-M3 landed today after nearly twelve days in orbit around the Earth. Onboard, it has the SSC developed communication system TSU, which has performed its mission in an impeccable way. TSU handled the communication with biological, physical and technological experiments onboard.
On Foton, the experiments have spent nearly two weeks in microgravity, near "weightlessness", enabling the responsible scientist to study processes without the effect of gravity.
The science teams have been able to monitor their experiments in real time via a video system. Many experiments are now being transported to ESA:s technical centre in the Netherlands for further analyses.
