SSC Chile owns a 25 hectare site that will house a technical buiding and initially an S/X Band antenna. This first antenna will be housed inside a radome for environment protection. Its strategic location (53º South, 71º West), makes it ideal for supporting polar orbit satellites in the southern hemisphere. In addition, the site is sized to accomodate future expansion with multiple antennas.
Santiago is currently working in the selection of the civil works contractors.
